Our Nutritionist will work with you to help facilitate making lasting dietary and lifestyle changes that will be supportive of your healing and long term health.  Our Certified Nutritional Practitioner, Paula Porter is passionate about helping our patients navigate dietary changes.  She can help with making big or small changes aimed at helping YOU feel vitally healthy.

Nutrition packages are available in the clinic for those requiring more consistent guidance and accountability.  if you are looking for guidance or advice in a supportive and friendly environment, we would love to help.

Dr. Rahima Hirji, ND is a Naturopathic Doctor and founder of Sage Naturopathic Clinic. She incorporates a range of therapies to best address individual health concerns, including nutrition, acupuncture, supplements, botanical medicine, traditional chinese herbal medicine and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. She also uses a wide variety of diagnostic tools and tests such as food sensitivity testing, salivary hormone testing, dried urine testing (DUTCH), blood work, and specialized bowel function tests to help diagnose and tailor treatment plans for a variety of health conditions.

With nearly 20 years of experience, she has treated patients with skin problems, anxiety, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hormonal imbalances and bowel conditions such as IBS, Crohn’s and Colitis.

She has a special focus on IBS and functional gut disorders and has had additional training in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and also works extensively with womens’ hormonal imbalances.

She is certified in Intravenous Therapy (IV).

Dr. Rahima is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where she received her Naturopathic designation. She also holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree from McMaster University.

She has done a variety of print and television media including CTV News, Grand River Living and the Global Morning Show and the Marilyn Denis Show. She is also a sought after speaker and provides a variety of lectures to corporate groups in Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto and surrounding areas.

Renée O’Shea is a bilingual Certified Nutritional Practitioner (C.N.P.) and Culinary Nutrition Expert (C.N.E.). After transitioning from a corporate career, she is now dedicated to helping you achieve vibrant health through comprehensive, science-based nutritional guidance.

Renée has a special interest in metabolic health and works closely with clients to create personalized nutrition plans that are both practical and sustainable, empowering them to incorporate whole foods and lifestyle changes into their daily routines. Her approach emphasizes education, making it easy for clients to implement small, effective habits that lead to lasting wellness.

With certifications from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition and the Academy of Culinary Nutrition, Renée combines her technical expertise and passion for food to support clients in a holistic way. She offers bilingual services in English and French, and is particularly skilled in addressing concerns related to blood sugar management, gut health, hormonal balance, and family nutrition among others.

In addition to one-on-one consultations, Renée also loves to create custom meal plans and educational content to help people take control of their health while balancing the demands of real life.
